For Children

Welcome, Friend

Every child has feelings.

Sometimes we feel happy, excited, calm, and confident.

Sometimes we feel worried, angry, frustrated, or sad.

At BCHBH, we believe every feeling matters.

This is a place where you can learn about your heart, understand your feelings, and discover the calm and kind part that already lives inside you.

Your Heart

Meet Your Heart Bottle

Imagine you have a Heart Bottle inside you.

Every day, different experiences add water to your bottle.

Sometimes your bottle feels light and calm.

Sometimes it feels full and heavy.

The Heart Bottle helps us notice how we are feeling before our emotions become too big.

The goal is not to have an empty bottle.

The goal is to understand what is happening inside.

Your Feelings

Understanding Your Inner Weather

Just like the weather outside changes, our feelings change too.

Some days feel sunny.

Some days feel cloudy.

Some days feel stormy.

All weather is allowed.

When we learn to notice our Inner Weather, we can understand ourselves more clearly and ask for support when we need it.

A Special Character

Meet Jerry

Sometimes a little voice appears inside our minds.

It might say:

  • I'm not good enough.
  • Nobody likes me.
  • I must win.
  • It's not fair.

At BCHBH, we call this voice Jerry.

Everyone has a Jerry sometimes.

The good news is that we do not have to believe everything Jerry says.

We can notice Jerry, smile, and choose a kinder response.

Meet Jerry — an illustrated guide showing what Jerry says, what we can do, and a gentle reminder that your heart is always calm.

Your True Self

The Heart Inside the Bottle

Inside every Heart Bottle is a red heart.

This heart represents your True Self.

Your True Self is the calm, kind, and caring part of you.

It is always there, even when life feels difficult.

Sometimes worries, fears, frustrations, or strong emotions can make the water in the bottle feel busy and unsettled.

At BCHBH, we call these thoughts and emotions Jerry.

When Jerry becomes loud, the water may swirl and splash.

But the heart remains safely inside the bottle.

The heart never disappears.

It is always there beneath the movement.

Your True Self helps you:

  • be brave
  • be caring
  • be honest
  • be patient
  • begin again after mistakes
  • show kindness to yourself and others

Just like the blue sky remains behind the clouds, your True Self remains present behind every feeling and every thought.

You do not need to create it.

You do not need to earn it.

Your True Self is already inside you.

❤️ No matter what happens, your True Self is still here.

When Jerry Gets Loud

When your heart bottle feels full

Everyone has difficult days.

When your Heart Bottle feels full, you can try:

  • taking a slow breath
  • talking to a trusted adult
  • drawing your feelings
  • going for a walk
  • sitting quietly for a moment
  • asking for help

You do not have to carry everything alone.

The Heart Reset — a simple way to come back to you: Notice, Pause, Breathe, Return to the Heart, Connect, Let the Water Settle.

Growing Together

Kindness Starts With Small Things

Kindness grows one small action at a time.

You can:

Help a friend

Include someone in a game

Say thank you

Listen carefully

Share a smile

Every act of kindness helps make the world a little brighter.

And it often makes our own hearts feel lighter too.

Remember This

You do not need to be perfect.

You do not need to feel happy all the time.

You do not need to hide your feelings.

Your heart matters.

Your feelings matter.

And no matter what kind of day you are having, you can always begin again.
